Cultist Character [UDK]
The cultist character was created to be a generic enemy to be used throughout a 3rd person action game.
The character was modeled at low resolution, further detail was added using normal maps (created from higher poly geometry) and textures. Following this, the model was skinned to a rig (adapted from the skeleton the characters in UDK use), so that the character could use the default animations from the engine.
There are 3 variations of this original design to help define class and avoid the character's use becoming overly repetitive. The altered designs include facial adjustments, additional accessories (such as the mask and knife) and alternate cloak shapes.
Additionally, as part of the set dressing for a level, I created 3 animals (modeled, textured, normal mapped, rigged and animated), to give it a more inhabited appearance.
